Hi @jasonye,
Unfortunately, we have no clue.
As this issue is related with the bbPress, it’s best if you try to reach the plugin authors. They will be more informed and better suited to help you.
To go further, we invite you to post your request on their support forums:
https://bbpress.org/forums/We remain available for all support requests related with the use of your theme.

As your customer, I am not complaining, but I hope you can be better.
I think this should be considered by the provider as a theme solution.
You provide an intranet solution without considering access issues. How can users use this theme to solve their problems?
If themes don’t solve their problem, why buy a theme? If the forums under the private group are also privately accessed, this is a bbpress feature. Well, as a theme solution provider, at least from the perspective of selling the theme, you should also test it to see if this can be solved. If it can be solved, this will be able to solve the needs of users and is a selling point of the theme. If this is not possible, the customer can be clearly told that it is not possible. Avoid customers wasting time.

Hi @jasonye,
Thank you for your precious feedback. I totally understand your viewpoint and where it’s coming from.
However, The features that you wish are OUTSIDE the scope of what we’re allowed to provide in a ThemeForest theme. Such heavily coded features like those you’re describing should be placed in a plugin, as they are part of what ThemeForest calls Plugin Territory:
https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000481223-WordPress-Theme-Plugin-Requirements#h_121074620161522301832182
https://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/the-concept-of-plugin-territory-in-wordpress–cms-25083Unfortunately, ThemeForest authors have been forbidden to add plugin territory features in their theme since may 2019. Before, it was already a very discouraged practice. So, ThemeForest won’t allow us to do so even if we wanted to.
Furthermore, please note that your feature request is more related with the improvement of bbPress (maybe with the creation of new add-ons), not our theme. As theme authors, feature development for third party plugins isn’t part of the support we will provide.
Our theme supports Paid Memberships Pro (https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/), which allow you to charge users, implement recurring payments and restrict content or areas of your website that will only be displayed to premium members. Plenty of PMPro add-ons are available on the author website to go further if necessary, including one for bbPress restrictions:
To know precisely which features will be restricted from your bbPress website, it’s best if you ask directly to the plugin authors.
They will be more informed and better suited to help you:
We remain available for all support requests related with the use of your theme.
