Debugged and provided this.
I deactivated the ‘activity’ because comments stopped working completely. Trying to resolve the comment module – I ended up breaking full site and now BP doesnt work.
I cannot even access dashboard….
Please instruct on what should be done.
nb. I zipped bp, then deleted bp from ftp, then unzipped bp zip again but this did not resolve.
all plugins and modules remain in tact.
I think that activity stream needs to be re-activated to get site back online?

Finally, hours later… resolution was to have deactivated much of my sites directory, changing many modules etc.
Comments now work (because I deactivated ‘activity reactions’ which was the issue…

Hi @abourne,
It seems that by disabling the plugin “Paid Memberships Pro – BuddyPress Add On” this allows us to upload pictures again.
This plugin have the following warning:
Trying to get property 'ID' of non-object in/wp-content/plugins/pmpro-buddypress/includes/restrictions.php
To go further, we invite you to ask for more help from the plugin authors and post your request on their support forums:
However, we think it’s possible that the upload issue is more caused by a slow server.
We often have this error message:
[Intervention] Slow network is detected. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5636954674692096.
This shows that the server can be very slow at times. This may explain why we can sometimes upload and sometimes not (cf. our upload tests on your activity page).
Therefore We advice you to post a ticket to your hosting solution who will most certainly make a diagnosis for your server.
We hope that the problem will be resolved quickly!
All the best,
