Hello my name is Jordy 🙂
Thank you so much for this awesome theme. It fits perfectly to my wishes. However i’m not able to recreate this theme like the demo. Can you help me figure out what i am doing wrong?
It seems like i’m missing some correct styling which i think have to do with some plugins.
I want to recreate the following demo for my own to customize with colors:
https://community.gwangi-theme.comThe page that i can’t seem to recreate exactly is the following:
https://community.gwangi-theme.com/members/demo/I got a test environment setup which i can give you access to. Please let me know if you can help me so i can share the credentials.
ps: I attached some screenshots which as you can see isn’t working properly. In one screenshot you can see that the hamburger dropdown menu is open which i can’t close. In the other screenshots you can see that there are some weird styling related things going on. its not perfect like the demo.
Many thanks,
Jordy

Hi @jordy,
Thank you for reaching back to us! And thank you for the kind words! ?
First, can you make sure that you have the latest version for our theme? And also that all the required plugins, especially Grimlock and Grimlock for BuddyPress, are up-to-date please?
Yes, could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.Cheers,

Hi @jordy,
Thank you for sharing all this precious info with me.
To make sure that I can pinpoint the issue quickly, could you deactivate all plugins that have not been installed with your theme during its setup AND all existing custom PHP/CSS/JS code snippets please? And then, could you confirm me that the issue is still persisting please?
Please also make that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date as I cannot make all updates from WP admin like you just mentioned. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system -from your site ou external- as well as your browser cache before investigating any further.
It will help much.
Thank you.

Hey @olivier,
Thank you for your help 🙂
I’ve disabled the plugins except the Grimlock. Also we aren’t using any caching plugins/software.
We also use the latest plugin versions of Grimlock & Gwangi. Is there anything else i can do to help you? If so please let me know!
Kind regards,
Jordy

Hi @jordy,
I took the liberty to disable most of your plugins, including your custom styling plugin. Then I proceeded to update all of them.
In the end, this issue seems to have been solved with the update of Grimlock for BuddyPress.
Could you confirm that it is OK for you?
Thank you.

Hey @olivier,
Damn you react fast 😀 thank you so much for that!
I meant locally. i’ve got the project locally aswell. which would mean that i would be some versions behind. but after updating it says that my version is already up to date. So i was curious if that link i send above was the latest version of grimlock for buddypress.
Kind regards,
Jordy

Hi @jordy,
Yes, I can confirm that is the latest version released! ?
However, you shouldn’t need to manually download and update your version, even if you’re working on your website locally. It is true that our plugins are currently hosted on our servers but all updates can be done through the WP admin.
WP will notify you of any future update.
