Hello,
I installed the “Dating Demo” with Elementor at setup but when I try to open the homepage I’ve got an error. I even try with “Elementor Pro” and it’s the same error :
“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”
How can I make it work ?
Have a nice day,
Thank you,February 19, 2020 at 14:47 #10152@themosaurusrex- 0 Topics

Hi @mante,
I’m very for your trouble. I think we’re facing a limitation here with video background of the Hero section as I’m not sure you can use both Grimlock Video and Elementor on the same page.
When you say “And I got the error on this one.”, could you develop please? Which error is showing on your page? Please feel free to share the logs in your next private reply.
Thank you.

On the other hand, when editing the imported Grimlock widgets with Elementor, do you see the “Style”? You could simply add your video in your first widget to mimic the Hero section from our demo.

Thank you,
Finally it works, I just added : <?php the_content();?> in wp-content/themes/gwangi/template-homepage.php and I deleted all widgets in the homepage.
Now I can use Elementor on the homepage too and the background video still working fine.

Hi @mante,
OK, I understand that you’ve edited the templates. It is very important to note that the best way to do this is by using the provided child theme
gwangi-child
and then move the edited homepage template in the new directory. Otherwise, your changes will be erased with the next update. For more about child themes, please read the following post:
