    Hi,

When I hover over my ‘Event’ menu I have x3 drop down mega menus which appear like your demo site however when I move my mouse from the event menu down to one of the mega menus the mega menus quickly disappear?

When viewing on Microsoft edge it disappears straight away and will not let me click on one of the options, yet on chrome it has a slight delay but disappears sometimes if I do not move my mouse fast enough?

Could you please advise why this happens and how to fix.

    Thanks,

    Hi @harryshapes,

After taking a look at the issue on your website, I found out this is due to two different issue:

The first issue is with your logo being too big for the navigation bar, which creates a small space under the menu, and when your mouse goes over that small space the menu disappears. However that is an issue with the theme, so we will fix it in the next update to support bigger logos. We’ll keep you updated when this update comes out.

The second issue is because a “common.min.css” file is being loaded on your page. That file is a CSS file that is supposed to be loaded only on the admin side. So I believe one of the plugins you are using is probably loading that file in the front-end of your website. That CSS file also creates an additional small space under your menu, and it might also be affecting other styles on your website.

My advice here would be to disable your plugins one by one to find out which one is loading that CSS file. You can see if that file is loaded in your page by doing the following:
    – Open the homepage of your website in Google Chrome
    – Open the chrome developer console by pressing ctrl + shift + i
    – Press ctrl + f to open the search box and search for common.min.css
    – If there is a result, that file is still loaded on your page. In that case, disable the next plugin, reload your homepage and repeat the previous step
    – If there is no result then you successfully disable the problematic plugin

If you still can’t figure what is loading that file, I can take a look for you but I would need temporary administrator access to your website, which you can send here in a private reply by checking the “Set as private reply” box.

    Regards,

    Hi @harryshapes,

With what you found during your investigation, it looks like part of the issue is indeed coming from the Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus plugin. My advise here would be to make sure that they have both been updated to their latest version, as well as any other plugin you might have from https://theeventscalendar.com/ (like The Events Calendar, Community Events, etc…). If that still doesn’t fix the issue, I’m afraid you will have to contact their support service: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/

About the logo size, your logo should have a maximum height of 56 pixels to avoid the issue while waiting for our next release.

About the profile picture upload with Microsoft Edge, that is probably a limitation of Microsoft Edge if this issue is only happening with that particular browser. The profile picture upload being handled by the BuddyPress plugin, I’m afraid you will have to contact the BuddyPress support about it: https://buddypress.org/support/. Of course you can always try to reproduce the issue with a default WP theme like the TwentySeventeen theme to make sure it is not an issue with Gwangi.

    Best regards,
