Grimlock makes appear blank screen

    On our site Grimlock is not working with the default wordpress customizer, it is not loading preview and not even showing the customizer itself, let us know how to fix that WP version is 5.9!

    We’re sorry to read you’re facing this issue. To help us getting clues and find a solution to this issue, please activate logging on your website, just turn WP_DEBUG to true, by pasting the following code lines in your wp-config.php file, just before the line that says ‘That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging.’:

    // Enable WP_DEBUG mode
    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    
    // Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
    
    // Disable display of errors and warnings 
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );
    @ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );

    Once this step is done, please try to use the customizer again. It should still not work. However this time, thanks to the code snippet that you just added to your wp-config.php file, we should be able to read the error.

    Could you share the content of your debug.log file with us please? You can post the content of this file as plain text in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.

    After having reviewed your next reply, we’ll be able to tell you if the issue is caused by our product, a third party plugin or any type misconfiguration on your server.

    If we’re not able to help, we’ll recommend you to transfer the error logs to the plugin author or to your server hosting support.

    Thanks for the fast answer !
    So, we have added the code to Wp-config file and after that the customizer worked just fine, and then I checked in the wp-content directory and no debug.log file was generated but I am getting this error in the header though, Warning: Constant WP_DEBUG already defined in /homepages/9/d902689388/htdocs/clickandbuilds/Rencontre/wp-config.php on line 87

    Hi Axel,

    I think these lines are duplicated in the wp-config.php. Could you please check this?

    These lines in my previous answer prevent the errors from showing themselves on the website. The fact that the errors are displayed in the header means something goes wrong with these lines.

    Thanks but the lines aren’t duplicated, there are only the lines that I added from the previous code you provided
    Do you have maybe an other idea ?

    Hi Axel,

    Could you please remove those lines and create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
    You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.

    Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
