Unfortunately, this feature is not available with BuddyPress and to our knowledge, there is no plugin that you could install to add this feature to your website. We think that this feature requires custom development work.
For one, we recommend you try to reach MeshPros and request a customization quote:
https://meshpros.com/customizations/These guys are the author of Match me for BuddyPress, a plugin that recommended to provide the matchmaking feature to your website. You might be already using it. They’ve quite a lot of experience with WordPress and BuddyPress development and might be better suited to help you.
If you’re on a tight budget, we recommend you to require the services from Envato Studio freelancers (https://studio.envato.com/explore/websites-programming). This web platform gives you access to developers who have already experience with theme customizations, and for very competitive prices.

For information, the first link you mentionned, meshpros.com, seems to have serious problems with their website… Not good for trust..
I’ll try again in a few days, and if they’re still unavailable, I’ll try the Envato Studio Freelancers. With your experience, can you advise me one or the other in particular?Thanks again for your work.

Yes, technical issues happen, to us included. 😀
The good thing is to be notified and to fix it quickly. So, I would give meshpros some time to let them fix their website.We’ve exchanged emails multiple time with members of their team about Match me for BuddyPress and customizations. They see to know what they’re talking about.
On the other hand, we have not work with Envato Studio yet. So it’s hard for me to recommend anybody. Maybe you could ask over there, on the community forum.
