Can you confirm that you have unchecked this option in Customize > Appearance > Login, please ?

It was NOT unchecked. However, I have now unchecked it.
Not sure what I’m still missing. The main website nav still does not show “Why Join”, for example. also, the “Login and Join” buttons are now gone when lgged out. No, I don’t want that. I want this buttons to still show when logged out. I just need the logged out menu to show in the main nav. It still is not.
However, I do see “why join” in the drop down menu. THat’s fine. But still need it in the main nav and I still want the buttons to show when NOT logged in.

Hi @brains99,
This is standard design with our theme, I’m afraid.
However, our theme gives you two possibilities :
– Display the Login et Register buttons
Only the buttons will be showed.
– Display a custom menu
The Login et Register buttons will be hidden. The “Log out” menu will be displayed in a sub-menu to ensure that you navigation stay responsive. You can easily add the Login and Register link to this menu, as shown in the attached screenshot. As this is not breaking the page, changing this is considered customization work. Unfortunately, this is a service that we do not provide.
We only share snippet only to solve issues with our theme. Any further request for CSS snippets will have to be part of a defect that needs to be fixed urgently. No snippets will be shared otherwise.
If you want to go further with the customization of your website, we advise that you hire a freelancer to do it for you.
If you’re on a tight budget, we recommend you to require the services from Envato Studio freelancers (https://studio.envato.com/explore/websites-programming). This web platform gives you access to developers who have already experience with theme customizations, and for very competitive prices.
Thank you for your understanding.

Ok, thanks. but can you please confirm where I would add things to this small pop-out menu you show in your screenshot? How is the login and register added?
Also, how/where do I change that logged-out tiny avatar picture?
Thanks.

Never mind the above message. I realized I only needed to the add the pages to that logged out menu.
However, regarding users who are logged-out … I notice they do not see the normal active homepage? When logged out the homepage shows nothing.
How can setup the site so the “logged-out” users can still see the homepage and all the content on the website?
Thanks.

You can easily add specific BuddyPress links. Go To Dashboard > Appearance > Menu and select the “Log out” menu. Then, you can check the BuddyPress option in the Screen options. It will allow you to add all the default BuddyPress items.
Please find the attached screenshots.
