Hello,
i add a multi-text box in profil field for a user description or an “about me”
To work around of showing or not some button on the MCE, like the “link” button since i dont want my user to put down some link, i install mce advanced editor and checked the option to make it by default on back-end and front-end..It is doing good in admin an on front-end… Except when a add a multi-text field, that field still use the old mce editor.
My question is, if i can use that new editor for user, on article or page it seem to show without problem.
Thank you!

Hi @pragmacafe,
Unfortunately, I think the “TinyMCE Advanced” plugin is not compatible with BuddyPress, which is why it doesn’t work with the multiline text box in BuddyPress profiles.
If you only want to hide the “link” button, the easy way would be doing that with a bit of CSS code if you are familiar with CSS. Adding a “display: none” instruction on that button should do the trick.
If you want all the options that TinyMCE Advanced provides, you can always try to contact the plugin support and ask them if it is possible to make it compatible with BuddyPress multiline text fields:

Hope this helps.
Regards,
