Hello,
Is there a way for the “Send Invites” to the group section to have invite friends by email option where the member can insert their friends’ emails and / or connect to their Gmail account and send invites that way?

We believe the “Invite Anyone” plugin should do the trick: https://wordpress.org/plugins/invite-anyone/
Amongst other things, this plugin will allow users to invite people by email and invite them into a group automatically when they register.Please be aware that this plugin is untested with the theme so we cannot guarantee that everything will work as expected. However we believe that there shouldn’t be any issue with it.
