    Hello Gwangi Help Team,

    Best wishes for 2020.

    By default, the members directory sort the members by ‘Recently Active’.
    I would like the default sorting to be ‘Newest Registered’.
    How can I do that?

    Finally, I would suggest to use the bp_has_members filter, and NOT THE FUNCTION as it will prevent you from overriding the BuddyPress templates, which can lead to other issues in future updates.
