Hi guys, none of my users (and admins) are able to reply anymore, as stated in the title. My site is basically set up like Facebook so this is a pretty huge deal.
You click on “Comment” or “Reply”
The dropdown comes down
User types a comment
Presses “Post Comment” and the comment disappears and vanishes into thin air. Never gets posted.None of the RTMedia links to post images, etc are working either. So no one is able to post any images, etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for buying our theme. We hope it will meet all your expectations! 🙂
We’re sorry to read you’re facing these issues. My best guess is that your issue might probably caused by some conflicting third party plugin or some extra code snippet as we don’t encounter this issue with our demos.
Could you deactivate all plugins that have not been installed with your theme during its setup and all existing custom PHP code snippets please? And then, could you confirm me that the issue is still persisting please?
If Paid Membership Pro is activated on your website, can you please deactivate it?Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.
If this issue persists, don’t hesitate to come back to us.
Thank you.

So I copied to staging and the issue seems to be happening after an upgrade of buddypress itself.
I have been going plugin by plugin, just deleting them, to make sure I make no errors in trying to figure out if there is a conflict there. So far nothing.
Activity will post now, but still no comments or replies. Know of any other common plugins that cause these kinds of issues? Thank you

Sorry my mistake on the version – wrong plugin. I updated to the latest. Seems I had an old version of grimlock itself (not for buddypress) installed. I’m not sure what came default with the package.
It look slike the update process itself is what was making things a little crazy here. This site is on a multisite, and the only way to check for updates via the dashboard is to network enable all the plugins installed with this theme as addons (grimlock, etc.) as they dont show up in the standard updater for whatever reason.
Anyway, looks like it is working now but maybe explore the update process on a multisite install. Thank you guys.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for bring this new issue to our attention. We’re glad to answer any question related with the setup of our theme!
However, it is very difficult for us to provide the best support possible and to keep track of issues and their resolution if so many questions are asked in the same topic.
Moreover, it’s easier for us to share the resolution for a single issue with other members of our community facing the same problem. So, could you move your other question into a different topic, please? One question = one topic.
By doing this, you will be making a great contribution to this forum, and we thank you very much for that!Thank you.
