    Hi,

I can’t add events in the Events Calendar, or elsewhere in the website. I have installed and activated the Grimlock for the Events calendar as well for this. Thereafter, is it possible that members can add events themselves to the calendar?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi @barryo,

Events Calendar 5.0+ have came with a lot of new features and a brand new design.

This option of The events calendar plugin is very new and is not compatible at all with our themes (yet).
They have done a huge redesign of all their code and it will certainly take us a long time to integrate it into our products.

In the meantime, we simply advise you not to activate this option by unchecking the “Use updated calendar designs” box in the plugin parameters (Events Settings > display tabs).

To make it possible for your users to create events (in front-end views), you need to get the “Community Events” add-ons (paid : https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/). Although it is not compatible with Cera at the moment (untested), it should work.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jean-Pascal,

So you don’t recommend a free plugin like bp event calendar to allow users to add events?

    Thanks,

    Beuza

    Hi @beuza,

The Events Calendar is also free in its basic version :https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar.

We have never tested the “BP Events Calendar” plugin, but it seems to be quite basic and it hasn’t been updated for 2 years.
It seems to work smoothly with BuddyPress, but we think that our users would prefer a more robust solution like The Events calendar.
