    Hi,

    I installed Adrotate and added a widget like I read on your forum. See images attached. It seems there is too much space around the banner. This makes the whole banner disappear on smaller devices. Any idea on how to correct this?

    Thx

    Hi René,

    Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce this. 🤔
    Did you use a img or a script? In case you used a script, it’s best if we take a quick look at this…

    Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
    You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.

    Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.

    Please be aware that on our support forum we made the Wp Rocket ad with a Grimlock Section and an affiliate link.

    Thank you.

    Also, I asked Adrotate and they told me the following:

    If Buddypress has hooks for that then that should be fairly easy.
    In that case you can create a small function that calls the adrotate_group() function for example.
    Which then gets added to the feed with said hook.

    I’m not familiar with Buddypress but you can probably interrupt the feed in the same way as you can with posts in WordPress, probably even with wp_query(), and add a simple for() loop with a counter to add stuff between items as you go along.

    Hi René,

    After some investigation, I think that this issue is indeed related to BuddyPress. It seems buddyPress set a max-height to iframe. To change this, simply add the following code snippet to your website:

    /**
    * Remove Max-Height from Iframe
    */
    body.activity iframe, body.single-item.groups iframe{
    	max-height:100% !important;
    }

    To add this code snippet to your site, we recommend that you paste it to the Custom CSS panel of your WordPress Customizer. Just go to your dashboard and navigate to “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS”.
    Pasting your code snippet there should do the trick for you.

    Also, it’s important to remember that we share snippet only to solve issues with our theme. Any further request for CSS snippets will have to be part of a defect that needs to be fixed urgently. No snippets will be shared otherwise.

    If you want to go further with the customization of your website, we advise that you require customization work.

    It worked thx!

    I have two other questions though. The first is, that I would like to have a horizontal banner just below the part where people can post an update that says ‘Whats new?’. It looks to me that it’s not possible to add a widget to this area. Does this need to be added through customisation?

    And the other is, is that it would be nice to add a Sponsored activity update to all the Buddypress newsfeeds. Similar to what Facebook does. Do you know any plugin that can make this a reality?

    Thx
