Can you be more specific? In which context do you wish to use AJAX to load more content?
Is this on the blog page? The shop page? The groups/members directory?For some of those, solutions already exist. For instance, if you activate the Infinite Scroll feature from Jetpack, you will benefit from AJAX loaded posts on you blog.
Other might require additional plugins or custom development.In advance, thank you for your reply.

I was thinking about Buddypress’ features (groups & members directories, notifications…
For example, the ability to consult notifications and erase them without refreshing pages…

Usually, we first look for a plugin solving this kind of UX issue. There’s probably already an existing project to improve BP directories. For instance, a BP core developer did the following few years ago:However, the project is without activity for quite some time now and we won’t recommend its integration.
If you -or anyone reading this- find something interesting, please post a link so we can review it and consider its integration with Gwangi.
In the case our search is unsuccessful, we will develop it ourself if multiple community members upvote this request. ?

You should have a look to Woffice WordPress Theme, you can interact with your BuddyPress notifications when clicking on the bell icon without refreshing any page 😉
On the other hand, after upgrading to ubuntu 18 and php7.0 -> 7.2, it seems that my site is going faster 🙂

Great news if your performance have improved with PHP 7.2!
Regarding Woffice, do you mean the menu item under the notification bell displayed in the main navigation? We’ve review the demo and it’s the only area where we’ve seen content loaded with AJAX.
In any case, displaying notifications this way seems nice and similar to major social networks, like Facebook.
We can also consider this as a way of improvement for Gwangi.Thank you for your feedback.

Your idea might be a nice addition to our theme but unfortunately, this feature request hasn’t received any upvote from other community members in months. Sadly, we have to decline it as we are trying to keep this forum tidy.
