Hi
On last update, website crashed when updating theme and plugins.
I had to update
Theme
Grimlock
Grimlock for BuddypressI have updated first Theme, then Grimlock for Buddypress and that’s where it crashed.
I disabled Grimlock for Buddypress by FTP, update Grimlock then enable again CRimlock for Buddypress and that was fine.I guess issue was backward compatibility
I always update
– Theme
– Addon which depends on a plugin
– PluginDoes Grimlock for Buddypress depends on Grimlock ?
Do you advice to do the opposite update first plugin then addon ?Thanks
Regards
Johan

Hi @johan,
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience. ?
Yes, Grimlock is the required plugin for your theme as it manages all theme options and provide features for Grimlock for BuddyPress, Grimlock for bbPress, Grimlock for WooCommerce and so on…
Unfortunately, we’ve discovered with the latest update that several Gwangi users have updated Grimlock for BuddyPress before Grimlock, causing major issues on their website.
This issue will be fixed in the next Grimlock update as we will block any new add-on features from acting before installing the required Grimlock version.
We’re really sorry for this and we hope that these issues have not caused any harm to your business.
Best regards,

No harm, I am always doing update on test version before prod
To solve issue , I disabled Grimlock for Buddypress by FTP, doing so I had again access to admin, I updated Grimlock and then enabled back Grimlock for BuddypressFebruary 20, 2020 at 14:05 #10172@themoceratops- 1 Topics
