I think it could be interesting for a social/dating/matchmaking site to have a widget displaying the members who have their birthday that day. It could generate connections between members.
I imagine it is a very small development that anyone with a little experience in php and in BP search files can easily do, but for the simple user, an integrated widget could be an asset for your theme.June 6, 2019 at 13:46 #6783

That’s a very neat idea! It would be indeed very nice and I think also that it would help to build a community or to display sorted members in other ways that “Latest registered” or “Latest connected”.

Our members will simply post a reply to show their interest. The more replies, the more chances to be added to our product. We regularly also factor in the presales request that don’t appear in this forums because these potential buyers don’t have access to our support forums yet.

I say better! A page that will be automatically created every 1st of the month (or a widget or other but the hard way is better I find in terms of SEO) related to an anniversary category or to define with publication Facebook, see newsletter twitter etc. birthdays of the month to come up!
Or put an icon in the member list of a cake with candles (and flames that move!)

The latest versions of Gwangi are compatible with BP Birthday Greetings:
Once the plugin has been installed and activated, updating your theme and Grimlock for BuddyPress to the latest version should add this integration to your website.
After the update, any integration problems should be fixed. However, you might still be seeing an issue because your browser cache is showing you an older version of the page (browsers do that to load pages faster). To see that the issue is resolved you will need to empty your browser cache and reload the page.
