Hi @luaspo,
We use BP Profile Search (https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-profile-search/) to showcase the profile search feature on our demos.
You can edit the search form by visiting “Users > Profile Search” in your dashboard, where you will find every existing profile search forms.
Just edit your age field and click “Save” without changing anything. Please make sure to add values for these fields to your dummy members to be able to filter your directory.

Hi Oliver,
Thank you for providing assistance, I am now able to change the form fields in the search box. I have a few questions around this:
– Is there a limit for BP Profile Search form fields?
– Will the form field map across to the registration page, or must that be done seperately?
– How can i reposition the search box on the homepage?Regards

@luaspo, I’m glad to read that we’re moving forward with this! 🙂
– Is there a limit for BP Profile Search form fields?
No, not to my knowledge. To be sure, it’s best if you try to reach the plugin authors. They will be more informed and better suited to answer you.
To go further, we invite you to post your request on their support forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/bp-profile-search/– Will the form field map across to the registration page, or must that be done seperately?
Could tell me which field you’re referring to when saying “the form field map across the registration page” please? Could you share a commented screenshot please?
– How can i reposition the search box on the homepage?
Yes, you can the following shortcode
[bps_form id=204 template=members/bps-form-home]
and paste it anywhere on your page. it should work fine.Best,

I have resolved the form field issue, they do indeed appear on the registration page and i have been able to implement all fields.
Where exactly do i paste “[bps_form id=204 template=members/bps-form-home]” and how do I remove the current form?
Regards

First, please make sure that the
id=204
is replaced by the correct ID number of your form! This value might be different on your website. You can paste the shortcode anywhere you want you search form to appear. That could be the Hero, some page or a sidebar widget.
