Hi, I’m trying to get BP Better Messages looking exactly like it does in the mobile version of CERA.
The important picture is the second one. Once you tap to open messages, it opens the chat perfectly and clean, with the NAV menu on top, rest of the page and footer.
I tried every setting I could think of in BP Better Messages but nothing makes mine look this. Mobile settings just lets you go from the tap to open to full-screen chat, which is terrible, no top NAV menu, no rest of the page, clunky scroll.
Any ideas? I just need the mobile chat to work like it does on the demo, this should be possible. I can provide more details or credentials if needed.

As I understood, you want the youzer demo. Can you confirm you bought the youzer plugin, please?
My best guess is that your issue might probably caused by some conflicting third party plugin or some extra code snippet as we don’t encounter this issue with our demos.
Could you deactivate all plugins that have not been installed with your theme during its setup and all existing custom PHP code snippets please? And then, could you confirm me that the issue is still persisting please?
Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further.

First I tried the Youzer demo, now I’m using a clean Intranet demo. It’s not about Youzer, it’s about how BP Better Messages behaves when you Tap to open it. On your demo it works perfectly, it does not make the chat go Full-screen, and the send button is perfectly aligned. I tried with BP Beter Messages settings but was not able to make it look like in your demo.
See the attached screenshot and compare with the previous I uploadead, this is the best I’ve managed to make it look and respond in mobile. The footer sometimes cuts part of it, and the send button is that small on the right.
This is on a clean install, all plug-ins and theme up to date.
Maybe you guys are using the BP Better Messages pro/web socket version? It feels much better integrated in your demo, so I don’t know why that is.

I start fresh with a new demo, but I can’t reproduce your issue. Note that we are not using the pro version of BP Better Messages.
My best guess is that your issue might probably caused by some conflicting third party plugin or some extra code snippet as we don’t encounter this issue with our demos.
However, it seems you find a solution. I’m glad to read that you’ve been able to solve this!

I have not found a solution.
It does not matter what demo I import, on mobile I can not make the chat look and feel of Ceras demos. Clean installs, all plugins up to date, no snippets.
This is really the worst part about wordpress. All themes are false advertisements

Thank you for your honest opinion. However, as I told you, I started fresh with a new install and all is working fine.
Usually, the setup wizard should make the demo import run smoothly, but issues can occur sometimes.
In most cases, these type of issues are caused by server misconfigurations. Please check the WordPress prerequisites here: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
For better performance (and better security) we obviously recommend the version 7.2 for PHP. Nevertheless, if this is not possible for you (server type, incompatibilities with plugins, etc.) we recommend at least version 5.6.X.
In this case, it’s best if we take a quick look at this…
Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests or reset your website to relaunch the setup wizard? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
