Is there a way to edit the privacy settings on the base profile fields, ie. once the user completes the base registration form they have to edit their profile settings for the birthday field to only me instead of everyone
I would prefer that my users not have to do this extra step, so if there’s a code snippet to have the birthday base field set to only me by default, or just convert it to their age rather then their exact date.

Unfortunately, this feature is not available with BuddyPress and to our knowledge, there is no plugin that you could install to add this feature to your website.
