Hi !
There is something strange about the “site activities” page.
(see screenshot for you to understand).Someone posted a photo in note(1). This same person added his own comment (2) then another comment to his 1st comment (3).
We can see that the photo and its 2 comments appear included in a single block, but we also see that the 2 comments appear detached above.
It’s very destabilizing and it greatly complicates the proper understanding of the course of the conversation. Members are lost! (this is the feedback I get from members who find the site quite complicated).
How to fix this display issue to make it coherent/logical?July 16, 2022 at 08:03 #41669@roboraptor- 0 Topics

Hi Manhattan,
No, it does not answer the problem the link you give, nor the plugins. The problem I’m talking about is a double display of comments
published: display once in the comment post and once isolated above.I tested youzify and then the problem does not appear.
It would be a solution for me to use this plguin, but it doesn’t fit, it has too many colors.July 22, 2022 at 19:29 #41768@themoceratops- 1 Topics

Hi Gil,
I have found this free plugin which should help with your issue : https://wbcomdesigns.com/downloads/buddypress-activity-bump/
According to its description, it will bump an activity up the list when there is a new comment, instead of showing the new comment as an individual activity.
Hope this helps !
Best regards,

Hi Jason,
Unfortunately no, it didn’t solve anything. The plugin could not be found on the extensions table in WP.
My problem with double posting of comments is not solved. On the buddypress forum I mentioned this problem some time ago but still without answers to date.
This is a concern because it greatly complicates the understanding of the progress of the notes on the site and the theme that you propose seems very complicated to my users, according to the feedback they give me.August 3, 2022 at 12:33 #42003@themodactyl- 0 Topics

Hi Gill,
We remind you that a theme affects the presentation and visual style of your site, while plugins add all kinds of features and functionalities. This issue has nothing to do with our theme as activity stream is managed by BuddyPress plugin. Our theme only apply CSS on this page to make it looks good.
Note that all the demo you mentioned are made with Gwangi, the same theme. Only the style changes between these demos.
Note that to install the plugin my colleague Themoceratops recommand you, you need to “buy” it on this website: BuddyPress Activity Bump.
This plugin is free, you just need to follow the process through the checkout.Best,

Hi Gill,
I don’t exactly know why. When we created the demo, we created fake content to make it more reel. On some demo, we imported the content created on others. Perhaps when exporting content from a demo, these activity posts are not imported. 🤷🏻♀️
As I told you, this “issue” is related to the way that BuddyPress manages the Activity Stream. I’m sure that, whatever the demo you choose to use, you’ll face this.
Sincerely,
