Greetings,
I’m having trouble with BuddyPress plugin, with specific part for Friends list and accepting “Friends”. I’ve contacted bp and youzify authors and their support, they checked it and saw no problems with their plugins, advised me to contact theme support.
Problem : When getting friend invite, you get notification and all. When trying to press Accept, nothing happens just a wheel spinning as its loading to accept. Refresh page and you get the same prompt to accept it. Only way to accept is to right click on accept and open in new tab. Somehow that one counts and works.
Second problem: As I’m checking some buttons for example page selections for events, or next event or previous event has a symbol ” >> ” and I can’t seem to get rid of it. also on other buttons the same symbol appears, even if that button is not for page changes.Best Regards,

Hi Darius,
Thank you for reaching out!
Could you deactivate all Grimlock plugins, please? And then, could you activate a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-four and confirm me that the issue is still persisting, please? This process will help determine if this issue is related to the theme or a plugin.
Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.
Thank you.

Hi Manathan,
I’ve tried deactivating all of Grimlock plugins, cleared cache, browser and website. Tried to “accept” friend invite. Still same problem.
Changed to default theme, accepting friend still works the same as before only when opening in new tab. I’ve tried disabling more plugins and seems like WooCommerce is disabling friend acceptance, according to BP and Youzify they tested a website with such plugins and it’s completely compatible with WooCommerce, they still are redirecting to you for this matter…
But, the page changing and buttons no longer have the extra ” >> ” in the middle of the button texts without Grimlock plugins. More specific with out – the main ” Grimlock ” plugin.
Anyway to help with these two issues?
Thank you,

Regarding the acceptance of friend invites. Found fault. Not theme problem in any way. Just had to go to WooCommerce settings > General > Default customer location > Select anything but Geolocating ( with page cache option ), somehow that option with cache and geolocation disrupts the friend plugin

Hi Darius,
Glad to read you’ve been able to solve this issue! The solution was really not that obvious, but due to your tests, it seemed indeed that this issue was related to WooCommerce. Anyway, great job! Thank you for sharing the solution with us. I’m sure it will help other users that might face the same issue. By doing this, you’re making a great contribution to this forum, and we thank you very much for that! #SharingIsCaring 💪🏻
Concerning your second issue, it seems that to change this you have to edit the translation file. However, to be sure, can you please send me a screenshot? We’re glad to answer any question related with the setup of our theme. However, providing the best support and keeping track of issues and their resolutions becomes challenging when multiple subjects are addressed in the same topic.
Additionally, it’s more efficient for us to share the resolution for a single issue with other members of our community facing the same problem.Could you please move your question related to your second issue into a different topic? One question = one topic.
By doing this, you will be making a significant contribution to this forum, and we sincerely appreciate your cooperation!Thank you. 🙂
