Hello,
we show the latest posts via WP-Dashboard > Design > Widgets > Dashboard. Is it possible to show another widget on the Cera dashboard that shows only the latest posts of one specified post category (and exclude them from the default widget latest posts)?

You can display recent post from a specific category by using Grimlock Posts section. In Query tab, you’ll be able to select one or multiple category.
However, You can’t remove the articles displayed in this section from the other widget. To our knowledge, there is no plugin that you could install to add this feature to your website. We think that this feature requires custom development work. In consequence, our recommendation is to hire a freelancer to do this job for you.
