Hello,
I am having an issue with the date format when publishing events. When publishing an event the Start date or sometimes end date will show the month name and date (ex. November 15, 2023 to 1/10/2024). I want it to read as 11/15/23 – 01/10/2024. I am not sure why sometimes when publishing the event causes some odd format and never stays the same. I posted screen shots.

Hi Alongar,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
It’s best if we take a quick look at this.
Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings. You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.
Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
Thank you.

Hi Carm,
Thank you for granting us access. I’ve worked it out!
When a date is displayed, the structure depends on the year. If the event is due to the current year (at the moment, 2023), the year is not displayed. Only the month and day are used. On the other hand, when a date is scheduled for the following year, the year is displayed. This is why there are two formats.
You can change these two formats in the event calendar settings:
- Date with year format
- Date without year format
Hope this will help you. 🙂
