How do I change the default avatar on the groups – I found the place to change the covers for groups (and both avatar and cover for members) – but I can’t seem to find where to set the default avatar image for the groups? 🙂

Thank you for reaching out.
Please be aware that this is standard design with our theme and this feature is not available with BuddyPress. Moreover, to our knowledge, there is no plugin that you could install to add this feature to your website. We think that this feature requires custom development work. In consequence, our recommendation is to hire a freelancer to do this job for you.

By default BuddyPress gets ther images from own folder:
/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/images“mystery-group” and “mystery-group-50”
The image used by default is set by the theme and it must be placed somewhere for me to change?
Nevermind – found it
/public_html/wp-content/themes/cera/assets/images/avatars
easy to overwrite – I know it might be overruled when updated, but for now it will work.
Indeed Katrine, the best solution would be to create a PHP snippet. :/
It dosen’t work – it for some reason is forcing the old image to overwrite even if I exchange the image (with same name and type) through http://FTP.. Super wierd – and annoying.. xD
Sorry to read that. Development can be sometimes a little tricky. Don’t hesitate to request the help from a developer. 🙂
