Emails not going into inbox when receiving a new message?

    Hi,

    I have tested sending messages between other members and when someone sends a message to me the admin I get a notification email which is great however when I reply or send a new message to another member the email appears in their spam mail and not there inbox.

    I have researched this and some people say you edit the email template to add more characters so that it doesn’t recognise it as spam or use a plug-in called wp SMTP plugin which I am using and is sending emails direct through my Gmail account with no luck still.

    Do you have anyways for emails for members to go into their inbox when they receive a message?

    Also could you please direct me to the activation email template that you receive when you sign up. I want to be able to edit the text in this field and put my own custom message there.

    Please advise. Thanks

    Hi,

    So I tested on your demo site between x2 accounts I created and when I send a friend invite for one I receive the email in my inbox.

    What settings do you have set up for your email?

    Hi kam,

    Unfortunately, this issue is related with BuddyPress and the installation, setting or debugging of third party plugins isn’t part of the support we will provide for our theme (Gwangi) and our plugins (Grimlock suite).

    Hi,

    I understand this.

    Could you still provide me with the settings you currently have for your email within your demo theme (youth) as well as the path where to edit the activation email template please.

    Hi,

    The default BuddyPress email settings are applied to our demos. We have only customized their appearance and their templates.
    You will be able to view all your email templates by visiting “Emails > All Emails” in your admin panel. To customize their appearance, please visit also “Emails > Customize”.
