To create a forum like our own, we used bbPress plugin with Cera theme. Note that we added some extra third party plugins to add some extra features:
- bbPress – Private Replies: Allows your forum posters to mark their replies as private
- bbPress Multi Image Uploader: Allows users to upload images to bbPress topics and replies.
- bbPress Voting: Allows users or visitors to vote up or down on topics and replies
- WP Ulike: Allows you to cast voting to any type of content you may have on your website. You can add a Like and Dislike Button on posts, comments, BuddyPress activity, bbPress topics and even WooCommerce products

Thank you for providing with some awesome plugins! I did download the bbPress Multi Image Uploader plugin, where certain images can be uploaded successfully, but others trigger a “File Extension Error.”

These features are not part of Cera itself, they’re all part of some custom development we have done internally on our support forums for our specific needs. So unfortunately they are not available out of the box or with a plugin.
But if you are familiar with custom development, or you are willing to hire a developer to add some features to your website, it is possible to achieve a similar result with Gwangi. Here are some basic guidelines I can provide as a starting point :
– The “Product”, “Plugins” and “Features” fields are custom taxonomies attached to the “Topic” post type.
– We’ve modified the topic form to add these taxonomies to the form and save them on submission.
– For the feature requests status, we use topic tags that we add on each topic. Then to display them in a columns layout, we’ve modified the template for displaying that specific forum and we’ve done a separate query on each status to display each column.Unfortunately, we can’t provide much more help than this as this is all part of some custom development, which is out of the scope of our support service.
