Hi Team,
I have a problem with buddypress.
I wanted to provide information to the member profile sheet
by adding quite a few fields.
These fields appear well … but not in the right place!
Indeed, you have to go to the “edit” tab of the profile to see them.Obviously, I want this information to be displayed on the “display” tab (see screenshot).
Did I make a mistake somewhere for these fields to appear in the wrong place?
PS: the url of the page indicates a path which surprises me: I am in my profile and I see as path “/membres/xxxx/profile/edit/group/1/”?
group?

Hi Gil,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Please be aware that only the fields that have been filled by the user will be visible. Any fields that have not been completed during the registration process will not be displayed on the profile page. Can you confirm me you filled the fields with your personal information?
Concerning the url, the group is related to the group of fields. When adding registration field, you can add them into groups. In the url, I can read you were editing the group 1.
Hope this will help you. Don’t hesitate to tell me if you need more explanations.
Cheers,

Ah.. ok! I just saw that, I didn’t know.
Indeed, I filled in some fields and the contents of these fields are displayed well after clicking on the “display” tab.But then, the tab called “modify” has an illogical name since it calls for an action on the part of the user (modify) to do something that he does not know from the start (fill in fields of information if he wants it displayed).
In my opinion, the tab should indicate to the user “fill in/modify
r” to make him understand that he can act in two ways.
I do not know if I’m clear…Does my reasoning make sense to you?
