    We found out that this is an issue with BuddyPress, but since it affects our theme and our demo we will contact BuddyPress about this issue and see if they can fix it in their future releases.

    I will keep you updated.

    Hello, the friend filter does not work for me either, I have a friend and instead of only my friend appearing, all the users appear.

    Hi,

    I have found out that this bug has already been reported on the BuddyPress tracker. It has already been fixed by a BuddyPress developer and the fix will be included in version 4.3 of BuddyPress.

    According to the BuddyPress roadmap, this new version should be out in approximately 11 hours (https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/roadmap).

    After the update comes out, if the problem persists please don’t hesitate to report it here and we will look into it.

    can you please give me a hotfix for it?
    I added the hotfix from the buddypress page: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/8064
    fix: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/12359

    But it still doesn’t seem to work with your theme.
    I want to go live with my page during next week and this is the only thing that needs to be fixed, don’t want to release with a bug like this.

    Hi @surrealer,

    The issue is not with Gwangi but is within BuddyPress. It has been fixed in the next BuddyPress release but that release is currently 13 days late as you can see on the roadmap: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/roadmap

    If you want to apply the hotfix suggested in the BuddyPress tracker, first make sure you apply the hotfix in the buddypress.js file, located in buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legacy/js/buddypress.js in the BuddyPress plugin.

    Then it will probably not work out of the box, because BuddyPress loads the buddypress.min.js file by default. So you should tell BuddyPress that it needs load the buddypress.js file instead of the “min” file. To do that, add the following in your wp-config.php:

    define( 'SCRIPT_DEBUG', true );

    Then make sure to clear your browser cache and reload your page, and the fix you work.

    Thank you for the hint, I made a copy of the buddypress.js and renamed it to buddypress.min.js
    So that I can just apply the next Buddypress update.
