Hello! First of all thanks a lot indeed for your great CERA theme (see at tomsoc.net in action). I trust, you are well.
Since yesterday i am using the BP Better Messages PRO plug-in and found some issues especially regarding .css. In the file https://domain.xyz/wp-content/plugins/grimlock-buddypress/assets/css/style.css?ver=1.3.8 you override certain settings of the BP Better Messages PRO Plug-in, so that it would not be possible to show the chat window, messages list, “user xyz typing …” and others in a readable way. Please see the attached screenshot.
I also would like to ask you, if you PLEASE could get in touch with the great developer (bpbm-support@wordplus.org) of the BP Better Messages (PRO) plug-in to find a permanent solution instead of doing custom .css changes – maybe again?
Thank you so much again!
TrulyTom Landon

Hi @tomlandon,
We’re not able to recreate the conditions to experience this issue.
Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
Thank you.

Good morning Olivier, Manathan – and everybody.
Thanks for your quick help. As i can see, you are online as ADMIN on tomsoc.net. Thank you for that as well. You maybe see, that i meanwhile am using an alternative chat plug-in – FOR THE TIME BEING, because i would like our users to continue chatting. I will DISABLE this chat plug-in, so that you can use all the functions of the “BP better messages” plug-in, which is my preferred one. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Truly

Thank you so much for solving the “global search issue” (white bar is away and search results are now shown perfectly in order)!
FURTHER issue: As you can see with the attached screenshot, i decided to reduce the width of the VERTICAL NAVBAR to have the “hide nav bar symbol” disappear. This caused, that the “buddypress whois online” widget avatars are so very close together, that they even overlap.
Question: Is there a .CSS or other way (sure there is, but i am too stupid to realize that) to let the widget (code) re-calculate the needed space and automatically re-order the avatars/user images this way, that there are shown only three user images in a row instead of four (auto wrap)? Or even reduce the size/radius of the user image, so that four fit to one row?
Thank you so very much again.

Hi @tomlandon,
Thank you for bring this new issue to our attention. We’re glad to answer any question related with the setup of our theme.
However, it is very difficult for us to provide the best support possible and to keep track of issues and their resolution if so many questions are asked in the same topic.
Moreover, it’s easier for us to share the resolution for a single issue with other members of our community facing the same problem. So, could you move your other question into a different topic, please? One question = one topic.
By doing this, you will be making a great contribution to this forum, and we thank you very much for that! 🙂Thank you.

Hi @tomlandon, 🙂
We have just released a new update of Grimlock for BuddyPress. Updating this plugin to the latest version should fix this issue.
After the update, the problem should now be fixed. However, you might still be seeing the issue because your browser cache is showing you an older version of the page (browsers do that to load pages faster). To see that the issue is resolved you will need to empty your browser cache and reload the page. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you:
