Grimlock for BuddyPress conflict fields (age,city etc.) not displayed

    Hi Themosaurus team,

    I have a conflict with youzify and Grimlock for BuddyPress, when youzify is active the BuddyPress Fields in Members Cards in Appearance > Customize > buddypress are not displayed. (Grimlock for BuddyPress in version 1.3.18)

    recently i got the update from “Grimlock for BuddyPress” , in “Author Avatars List/Block” fields are not displayed anymore and the conflict with youzify the conflict with appearance remains.

    If you’re referring to the fields highlighted in the attached screenshot, please be aware that it is not an issue. Youzify manages itself the profile cards. For this reason, this feature is deactivated by Youzify plugin.

    Hope this will help you better understand how Youzify works.

    Hi Manathan, yes exactly these fields.
    I use youzify but in frontpage (home) i use Grimlock Author Avatars to show my users filtered by role, with this fields like age, country etc. , from youzify i couldn’t find this section to edit and add another field. So i was deactivate youzify, and i chose the fields. In your version 1.3.18, next to update to 1.3.19 this fields are not displayed. Ιs it possible to display the fields with the new version in Grimlock Author Avatars?

    Hi Bill,

    If you deactivated Youzify, these options should be visible.

    My best guess is that your issue might probably caused by some conflicting plugin version or related to the cache as we don’t encounter this issue with our demos.

    Could you deactivate all plugins that have not been installed with your theme during its setup and all existing custom PHP code snippets please? And then, could you confirm me that the issue is still persisting please?

    Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.

    If these steps doesn’t solve this issue, could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings. You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.

    Also, will we be free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.

    In homepage and the section Author Avatars fields (age-country) are hidden, the problem occurs when I activate youzify. in previous version 1.3.18 (Grimlock for BuddyPress) fields displayed correctly in Author Avatars. (both active youzify and other plugins).

    Hi bill,

    Yes, you’re correct. This is a byproduct of the changes made to the latest version of Grimlock for BuddyPress.

    We will investigate further to find if there is way to restore this feature while preventing it from clashing with Youzify settings. Honestly, I’m anticipating the fact that our dev team won’t be able to solve it as it looks like a limitation to using both Youzify and Author Avatars List/Block.

    Hi Bill,

    This is a limitation to the coexistence of the two plugins. It is not possible to put everything perfectly together since Youzify has its own options. This is why we had to remove ours. If you want to use our options and Author Avatars, you must remove Youzify. I’m afraid there is no other way.

    We suggest you contact the authors of Youzify plugin as they may have a solution that we don’t know of. Moreover, Youzify team offers add-ons that could perhaps allow you to use the same features. To go further, don’t hesitate to post your request on their support forum: Youzify support.
