Hi There!
I purchased the Gwangi theme last week, and I wanted to point out some issues, one of of which is still unresolved.
Upon installation and activation of the required plugins included with the install, a critical error was generated. While In recovery mode, it appeared as if there was an issue with the order of the activations that was causing the failure. I activated Kirki and was able to install the rest of the plugins without incident EXCEPT Grimlock for Jetpack. This plugin is still generating a critical error that is taking the site off line.

Our best guess is that your issue might probably be caused by a conflicting version of JetPack plugin as we don’t encounter this issue with our demos. Could you please tell us which version of JetPack are you using?
Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further. Hi Manathan, thank for the response.
I am running a wordpress.com hosted site, so the Jetpack software should to be automatically updated to the most current version. I’m unable to find a way to determine what version is currently installed.
In terms of them and plugin updates, I bought the package a couple of weeks ago, have there been updates since?
Just to give you a heads up, I have gone ahead and put in a ticket with Automatic and forwarded a screen shot of your assessment. I will let you know what they come up with 🙂

1: Jetpack version: 11.0-a.11
2: Cleared the server cache for youI also cleared my browser cache as you suggested. Activated Grimlock for Jetpack and received the same critical error.

We have just released a new update of Grimlock for JetPack. Updating this plugin to the latest version should fix this issue.
After the update, the problem should now be fixed. However, you might still be seeing the issue because your browser cache is showing you an older version of the page (browsers do that to load pages faster). To see that the issue is resolved you will need to empty your browser cache and reload the page. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.

Will this plugin update automatically, or do you have a link I need to visit to download the update?
(I couldn’t find a page to download the latest version of the plugin….)
It depends of the update settings of WordPress.com. Anyway: you can find the last update here: Grimlock for Jetpack.
