Hi @ilat,
Your Hero should not be translated in the Customizer. It should be set in the Customizer for your default language (“English (UK)” ?) and then translated with your translation plugin?
Which translation plugin do your currently have activated on your website ?
We usually recommend WPML for its great support of BuddyPress. It offers a dedicated add-on to translate BP pages such as the member profile page. This might solve your second issue.
For more about translation, we’ve two tutorials addressing this topic:
Please note that our documentation refers WPML. However, the principles discussed in our documentation should apply to any other translation plugin.

Hi @ilat,
Your Hero should not be translated in the Customizer. It should be set in the Customizer for your default language (“English (UK)” ?) and then translated with your translation plugin?
It means that your Hero title, subtitle and text should be set in the Customizer and contain default values for the default language of your website. If your website is first displayed in English, the values set into the fields for your Hero should be written in plain English.
Once it is done, you need to figure WHERE and HOW you will be able to translate these values with your own translation plugin.Every other translation plugin does it differently but they usually make a very good job at translating theme options -which include the Hero title, subtitle and text- because it’s a very standard feature for every theme. The following options are parts of
theme_mods_gwangi
and should be detected by any/your translation plugin:
hero_title
hero_subtitle
hero_text
As it turns out, WPGlobus also supports the translation of theme options but it require additional plugins (WPGlobus Translate Options and WPGlobus Plus). For more, please refer to the following posts:

https://wpglobus.com/extensions-archive/multilingual-theme-options-with-wpglobus-plus/Please note that your issue is not related with our theme nor Grimlock Hero. As it is related with WPGlobus, it’s best if you try to reach the plugin authors. They will be more informed and better suited to help you.
