Hi @botbead,
This issue is probably caused by server misconfiguration as everything seemed to work fine before moving to a new hosting server. Did you, by any chance, install some new plugin or new snippet that might be breaking your website?
To make sure that the issue comes from our theme, please deactivate all plugins and snippets, activate a default WP theme (i.e. Twenty Seventeen) and then try to run the WP Importer with the following file:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/WPTRT/theme-unit-test/master/themeunittestdata.wordpress.xmlThis may confirm that the problem is related with your configuration and it will give you the necessary error logs to transfer to your server hosting support.
