Hello! I recently purchased MatchPress and was curious as to how it exactly works. Does this have a built in algorithm or would that need to be added? Also are members matched just based off of a “like”? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for reaching out.
MatchPress turns the BuddyPress directory into a swipeable stack card. The match is only based on the like/superlike the users send to each other. It doesn’t automatically filter the members, but it’s possible.
To Filter the directory with the users preferences (gender, age, country, hobbies,…), you need to use BP Profile Search plugin and its MatchPress add-on: MatchPress for BP Profile Search. Thanks to this add-on, members will be allowed to select filter values into their account to preselect the displayed deck of member cards. This way, they will only see members that match their preferences.
