How did you translate your navigation bar? Did you translate your website using the provided
cera.pot
file? If that’s not the case, I suggest that you give a quick look to the following post as it addresses this topic:Usually, we recommend to rename both files
cera-<your-language-code>.mo
andcera-<your-language-code>.po
. Then, please replacefrom the file name by the language code of your choice, for instance fr_FR for french. Finally, the best practice is to move the files in the theme languages directory of your website:
wp-content/languages/themes directory
. There, you will find the translation for other themes. This will also ensure that the files will not be lost during any future update.
Cheers,
14/03/2020 at 09:55 #10648Hi Olivier, thanks for your response.
I have managed to translate most of the site this way, thanks a lot.
But now i have another problem, ı cannot translate the members search form, where can i find its source file?
16/03/2020 at 11:19 #10654Hi @siyarbahadir,
That’s great news! I’m glad to read that your translation process seems to run smoothly.
The strings that you’re looking for need to be translated from the BP Search Profile plugin, as you have discovered. That plugin doesn’t provide any POT file, so we created one with all the strings from that plugin which you can download here:
https://files.themosaurus.com/bp-profile-search/bp-profile-search.potOnce you have translated the strings you need, you should have a
bp-profile-search-en_US.mo
andbp-profile-search-en_US.po
file that you will place in thewp-content/languages/plugins
directory of your site. For other languages than English, please replaceen_US
from the file name by the language code of your choice, for instance fr_FR for french. Please keep us updated if this helped you with the translation of your website.
Best regards,
