I’m encountering an issue with BuddyPress default email notifications on my site. Only two types of emails are being triggered: private messages and friend requests. However, other default emails, such as group invitations and account activations, comments etc, are not being sent. Could you please assist in identifying the cause of this issue or guide me on troubleshooting steps?

We’re very sorry for your inconvenience. Manage emails in WordPress might be quite complicated.
First of all, you need to check if your emails are well being sent from your WordPress site or not. We wrote an article in our documentation about that:
Please be aware that we do not make any changes to BuddyPress core emails in our theme or plugins. So, this issue has to come from elsewhere. Unfortunately, the installation, setting or debugging of third party plugins and hosting server misconfigurations isn’t part of the support we will provide for our theme.

Thank you for this information.
If certain BuddyPress emails are not being sent and do not appear in the logs, it’s likely an issue with your server’s email configuration. Since our theme and plugins do not modify BuddyPress core emails, this behavior would be caused by something external to our products. If you want to make sure, I suggest you to switch temporarily to a standard WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Four. You’ll see it doesn’t fix this issue.
The most probable cause is related to Server Email Configuration: Your server may not be correctly set up to send emails. It’s worth checking with your hosting provider to ensure the email service is properly configured.
