I am sorry, but maybe I found another issue…
I want to upload a image far a member profile, I select the picture, the download goes well, but after it becomes strange, as you can see on my picture.
The downloaded picture is not displayed (or maybe it is the very small dot in the middle of the screen), so it is impossible to determine the crop you want. The result is a ‘random-centered’ picture.
The admin access made for you in the past is still working, if you need to take a look in the machinery.
Maybe I made a mistake, the only installed plugin outside your theme area is a backup plugin : UpdraftPlus.
Hope you can help once again, with your world-famous super-powers… XD

We finally found the issue!
There was a conflict between the BP image upload feature and the “lazy images” feature of Jetpack plugin..
This option seems to have been enabled by default when Jetpack was installed. We just unchecked it, and the upload works again :).
Note that this issue has nothing to do with our theme but we are happy to have been able to help you.
We also advise you to check the options you really need via this option page: …/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack_modules
Jetpack tends to activate a lot of (unnecessary) features by default…

That’s awesome! Thank you !
This issue had nothing to do with your theme: it’s a great news for me and for you.
I am really sorry to have disturbed you with a third party issue, and thank you very very much to have made what was necessary. Next time, I’ll check more deeply before asking help. 😀
I didn’t know the option page of Jetpack (not a big fan of Jetpack, I only use it for the infinite scroll… maybe I’ll deactivate Jetpack, too much complex for my use) – so thank you also for that.
Have a nice day.13/06/2019 at 11:02 #6846

And no worries! With a very integrated theme like Gwangi, it’s something very difficult to find by yourself if the issue is coming from the theme or the plugins. We’re always there to answer questions and we don’t hesitate to redirect you to the plugin authors if necessary. They’re always better informed and more equipped to help you.
