Hi,
We are facing the following issues with a Grid Block from LearnDash. We have followed the instructions here (https://doc.themosaurus.com/setup-learndash-with-your-theme/) and inserted the block, but its not working as expected.
Please note in the screenshots attached how it looks in the WordPress block editor, how it looks in the live site and that we have indeed installed the LearnDash Course Grid Plugin.
Please advise on how to solve this. Thank you in advance!
Jota

Hi Jota,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
It’s best if we take a quick look at this…
Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings.
You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
Thank you.

Hi Jotasang! Thank you for your patience.
It seems the query wasn’t functioning anymore as an empty category as selected in the settings of the section. I imagine that’s why you used Course Grid instead. However, we are not compatible yet with Course Grid block. The block is quite new. If you want to use Course Grid layout, you have to use the shortcode for the moment:
[ld_course_list progress_bar="true"]
In case all is displayed correctly from your side, you can re-activate your 2 cache plugins.
Hope this will help you. 🙂

Hi Manathan,
I really appreciate your help and time. You are awesome. This helps a lot, even if its not exactly looking as we intended to, we can make it work for now. Quick questions:
Where did you found that documentation of the additional labels you could add on that shortcode? (i.e. progress_bar=”true”) I want to check if there are more to make it look as closely as possible or to limit quantities, etc.
Also, which 2 cache plugins do you refer to? Is there any plugin you would recommend to clear up the cache even once in a while? It sounds as it will keep bringing us headaches this bit, like, thinking that its something wrong in the theme like a bug when it actually is that the old config is cached somewhere.
Thank you!

EDIT: I realised which plugin you were referring to (LiteSpeed Cache). Right? This plugin is storing the cache and causing the issues then and not WordPress? I would need something that would periodically purge the “cache”, right?? Sorry I’m not very technical.

Hi Jota,
You’re very welcome! 😊
To dive deeper into the Course Grid functionality, check out the detailed documentation provided by LearnDash: Course Grid Add-On.
Now, about caching: litespeed is indeed an excellent choice! However, like any cache plugin, it’s most effective once your site is nearly complete. I recommend keeping it inactive during the development phase. Once your site is ready (or close to it), you can activate the cache. Just remember, whenever you make updates or notice any glitches, clear the cache – it’s a good practice we follow in web development.
Hope this clarifies things for you!
Cheers,
