You must use the Private Site plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/jonradio-private-site/).

We do not install it by default as this could have the opposite effect for some users who do not wish to have their site totally private.

This the default behaviour of WordPress. The “reset your password” link redirect to the default login “area” of WordPress.

This plugin is reshaping every WordPress login forms using the theme options that you’ve set.
