Hi
Currently my Search Form has each description under the form field.
Example:
dd/mm/yy
Date of BirthIs there a way to have the description above the form field so the above will look like this:
Date of Birth
dd/mm/yyIt just currently looks odd with the description below – not really a standard form layout.
I know the form is using a custom template located in: plugins/grimlock-buddypress/templates/

Hi 3Bs Studio,
Can you please make sure there is a title for each field in Dashboard > Users > Profile Fields? Please find the attached screenshots.
Please note that the position of the description is a standard behaviour with BuddyPress.
We’re waiting for your feedback.
Cheers,

How you show it is exactly how I want it so somethng weird is going on. Description is the only field that shows which is why I wanted it above the form field, but actually it’s the label that isn’t showing. If that showed I can do away with the description.
However, when I edit Profile Fields I get Edit Ground instead of Edit Field (see screenshot). I’ve deleted the descriptioin as I don’t need it if the Field label displays but as you can see from the Search form page all that is now showing is the form field – no label or description.
Is this overwritted by the Profile Search? The last screenshot shows the Profile Search Home Form with the field and label of Current Name filled in – but again nothing shows on the Search Form page.
It’s very odd.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Thank you for your feedback. 🙂
Indeed, that’s very odd. The first thing to do is to determine from where this issue might coming from.
Could you deactivate all plugins that have not been installed with your theme during its setup and all existing custom PHP code snippets please? And then, could you confirm me that the issue is still persisting please?
Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further.
Don’t hesitate to come back to us once these steps has been followed.
Thank you.

Hi 3Bs Studio,
At the moment, there are some inconsistencies in the settings of the forms. We will look to improve this in a future version of our theme and plugins.
In the meantime, simply add the following code snippet to your website:
.bps_form .editfield .bps-label { display: block !important; }
To add this code snippet to your site, we recommend that you paste it to the Custom CSS panel of your WordPress Customizer. Just go to your dashboard and navigate to “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS”.
Pasting your code snippet there should do the trick for you.

That’s done it – as you can see from the screenshot.
Now that’s looking much better is there a way to remove all the extra space above the Search Form as shown in the screenshot.
Many thanks

Hi 3Bs Studio,
I’m glad to read Jean-Pascal was able to help you.
Concerning your second issue, we suggest you to use Grimlock Section Widget as you’ll be able to set the padding and margin manually. This widget will be better suited to replace the Text widget that you seem to use.
Let me know is you need more explanations. 🙂

Hi 3Bs Studio,
We have just released a new update of Grimlock for BuddyPress. Updating this plugin to the latest version should fix this issue.
After the update, the problem should now be fixed. However, you might still be seeing the issue because your browser cache is showing you an older version of the page (browsers do that to load pages faster). To see that the issue is resolved you will need to empty your browser cache and reload the page. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.
Kindest regards,
