Username Explanation:
Replace “required” under the username field with:

The activation link appears automatically in the box, but the instructions are unclear. Please add the following note above the button:

Here is some answers to your questions :
Username Explanation: This is a standard field and I’m afraid neither WordPress or BuddyPress has a feature to edit this field. To change this, you’ll need customization work. Unfortunately, this is a service that we do not provide.
Email Confirmation: Could you send us a screenshot, please ? If I’m understanding correctly, I’m afraid this issue is related to BuddyPress. So, I suggest you to reach BuddyPress team, they might have a solution we don’t know of.
Pre-empt Junk Email Issue: It also requires some customization work. However, if you don’t want to use customization work, you can use Poedit plugin, create another english files for BuddyPress, find the strings and re-translate them as you wish. Hope it makes sense for you. 🙂
Activation Page Instructions: Customization work of BuddyPress. I’m afraid we cannot help you customize a plugin we did not developped. Don’t hesitate to reach out BuddyPress team.
