There are numbers displayed at the media section, see attached. I have not gone directly to the media section and uploaded images.
But I have posted images to the activity stream. I think it is registering the amount of media I have posted to the activity stream in the media section.
This gives a wrong impression to the viewer, who is thinking that there is media available to watch. Which there isn’t, since I haven’t uploaded anything.

So either the solution needs to be that what is posted in the activity stream, would also be available to watch when going to the media section.
Or, the numbers that are displayed at the media section need to be changed or deleted all together. Please advice.

    Hi René,

    It seems very odd. 🤔

Please find the attached screenshots in my next reply. As you can see, all is working fine. Can you please check and come back to me?

Please also make sure that you have the latest theme version and that all recommended plugins are up-to-date. Finally, you could also consider clearing all activated caching system as well as your browser cache before investigating any further. If you want to read more on what browser cache is and how to clear it, here is an article that might help you: How to Clear Internet Cache in Every Major Browser.

    Thank you.

Where did you post it? In your profile, sociall wall or in a group? And would that matter?

Btw, how do I check if I have the latest theme version? And if I would to update the theme version, wouldn’t that cause issues?

please note that I publish this picture in my profile activity wall.

It’s difficult to know from where this issue is coming from. However, my best guess is that it is related to BuddyPress itself. Do you face this issue by publishing picture in the profile activity wall?

The first thing to do when facing an issue is to update the theme and every plugin. To update your theme, you can download and install the Envato Market plugin (https://envato.com/market-plugin/) on your WordPress site. Once the plugin is installed and activated, go to “Envato Market” in your admin menu and follow the instructions under “Activate Envato API Connection”. When this is done, you will see your purchased themes under the “Themes” tab and you should be able to update your theme from there by clicking the “Update available” button.

Thx. There is no update available button so I guess the theme is updated to the latest version?

About the media. I just posted something on my profile and it did went to the media section. This means that the images I’ve posted in the groups section are not going to the media section. Is there a setting that I can change to have those images go to the media section as well?

The media section now states 5 images were posted and only shows 1. It could be a coincidence that I had changed a setting which meant those images were not being added to the media section. Do you know where these media settings are being managed?

    Hi René,

I try to upload an image on a public group wall and this image was not added to my profile. However, the number was still set at 1.

I try my best, but I really don’t know why you have a different media count on your profile. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I really suggest you to contact the plugin authors as they’ll be more suited to help you with this issue: rtmedia.io/support.
