Hi the image uploaded under the users profile where s/he can upload photos or create albums, when creating an album is there anyways to add password protection to the albums as some of the clients want to have a private area?

I’m afraid we have no clue.
Note that the media tab on the profile is managed by rtMedia plugin. I suggest you to reach the plugin authors as they might be better suited to help you with their plugin: rtmedia.io/support.
