Hi all..
I have an issue that’s happened twice:
I set up site and all pages/posts layout looking great. Then inexplicably – all posts (not pages) revert to show ‘Coming Soon’ layout (I haven’t changed any post or page from ‘Default Template’). I have latest plugins and tried deactivating. Changing post template does improve layout but then I have wrong template. It’s as if ‘Default Templet’ is now stuck on Coming Soon layoutI fixed this on test install by re-importing the Theme. However – I have now added all my blog/page text/Elementor content and do not want to wipe it.
Q: how do I run the installer and just re-import the templates/layout without destroying my page/post/widget content/theme customization?
See attachment.

Hi Ed,
I’m very sorry for this inconvenience.
Can you please make sure the selected page templates are “Elementor Canvas” or “Elementor Full Width”?
We wrote an article to import the Elementor demo manually that might help you: Installing the Elementor Demo Version Manually.
This should solve your issue.
Kind regards,

Thanks..
I need sidebars left and right on POSTS (pages are OK). The demo theme loads posts and pages perfectly with Default Template for all allowing both left and right sidebars layout to be added in Customiser. Then without changing template it randomly stops displaying correctly (ONLY posts – shows coming soon on every post).Elementor Canvas just gives me blank canvas (except text).
Elementor Full Width does not allow me sidebars left and right (even if I set both sidebars layout in Customiser and added widgets in sidebar 1 left and right sidebar 2).There is some bug – I can only resolve it by reimporting the entire demo. Hence my question: How do I import dating template layout for only posts – without wiping my posts content?
I will keep reading your documentation. I may make a video so you can see how I cannot edit posts layout.

Hi..
Here is video showing how I cannot add left and right sidebar to POST.(note: this page WAS working fine for while on Default Template (as per demo install) – but now it shows Coming Soon on Default Template. I can not add sidebars on Elementor full Width either. This Coming Soon issue happened on 3 test installs).

Please note that concerning the posts, the template used has to be the Default Template.
It’s best if we take a quick look at this Ed. Could you create a new website user for us please? If possible with administrator capabilities so we can make a quick check of your settings. You can post the user name and password in your next reply and mark it as private to keep this between us.
Also, are we free to deactivate plugins for our tests? In this case, I invite you to make a backup before we investigate your website further in order to make sure you don’t loose any data if something goes wrong.
Thank you.
P.S. : Amazing what you can do with your musical instrument!

Found it Ed!
It seems there were some CSS class that were applying some style. Please find the attached screenshots.
Did you add them yourself? You can find the Coming soon section in Customize > Widgets > Sidebar 2.
Here are the CSS class I deleted in case you want to use them again:
section--full-viewport section--boxed section--align-center

Thanks.. saved me a lot of hassle 🙂
no I did not add CSS or Coming Soon widget – I have nothing coming soon to write about! It happened on 3 test installs so I think something else causes the coming soon widget/CSS to be added as I noticed other widgets getting mixed up when switching themes?
🙂

Hi Ed,
It is possible that another theme or a third-party plugin adds this widget or CSS class when using it.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to find the exact origin of this issue. I suggest you come back to us if you face this issue again. However, if you find out what exactly you are doing that might be causing this issue, please feel free to share it with us as it will help us find a possible solution.
