I would like my blog page setup to be like your demo as shown via the link below:

how do i achieve this with the filter options too as shown on the demo.. i.e All categories, food, formats etc

Thank you very much for the kind words.
To display the post filters, please go to your customizer and navigate to “Appearance > Customize > Posts > Posts Page”. Under the “General” tab, you will find “Filter Display” options.
You can check any option wanted to display the post filter(s) you wish.Finally, to use jQuery Isotope and its dynamic filtering effect, please make sure you have Grimlock Isotope activated.
