When I want to edit functions.php in Theme Editor it throws up an error, which deletes the whole functions contents. It suggests I use SFTP to update the theme. This is not an error ive seen on any other wordpress site. Is this from the theme or buddypress. Note, I have made a child theme, and this issue was present before and after creating the child theme. If I want to make changes why is it that I have to FTP in all my changes. why cant I use the built in theme editor with this theme?
