    Hi

    I went through the steps I found on the forums, but I still can’t figure out how to remove the user/login avatar icon from the front page (I’m building an event directory page and don’t require any sort of sign in or sign up function.

    Also, Why am I seeing a black WordPress menu above my header when I’m logged out?

    I would like to remove all of these, and can’t figure it out.

    Photo attached.

    Thanks

    Hi @daveybuoy,

    Could try to uncheck the “Show the Toolbar for logged out users” please?

    You can edit this by going to your BuddyPress settings. Simply go to your dashboard and navigate to “Settings > BuddyPress”. Then, just open the “Options” tab and uncheck the suggested box.

    To hide the avatar, simply add the following code snippet to your website:

    /**
    * Hiding avatar
    */
    .navbar-nav--buddypress {
        display: none !important;
    }

    To add this code snippet to your site, we recommend that you paste it to the Custom CSS panel of your WordPress Customizer. Just go to your dashboard and navigate to “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS”.
    Pasting your code snippet there should do the trick for you.

    Also, it’s important to remember that we share snippet only to solve issues with our theme. Any further request for CSS snippets will have to be part of a defect that needs to be fixed urgently. No snippets will be shared otherwise.

    If you want to go further with the customization of your website, we advise that you require customization work.
