Seemingly, the results bar is quite redundant.
Attached: searching ‘sam’ returns users without that name, but matches to data contained within the profile.
How to restrict results to contain ONLY the users by name of the matching search query and not contents in the profile?
as a feature reccomendation, I suggest extending the top filters bar to be somewhat like googles, whereby providing an easy to grasp analysis of all the various fitler attributes, which can be easily clicked and poped up, with ajax results to follow
observing how it may be more user friendly, such option could have wide appeal?

Thank you for your well documented remark. It would be indeed a massive improvement to display a filter bar to further browse through found results.
However, please note that your feature request is related with the improvement of BuddyPress and BP Profile Search, not our theme. As theme authors, feature development for third party plugins isn’t part of the support we will provide.
