Hi,
I am having issues setting up the plugins to work and look properly and need help.
There is no different between swipe carosel and swipe card or use use buddypress default layout witch was given as an option from the buddyboss settings as its not changing anything at all. All i can see is 4 buttons that are one under another FOLOW, SKIP, SUPER LIKE, LIKE
First i see no option editing what to show and what not to and how exactly – idealy they will be three in a row without the follow button ( i dont want to there) with space between to be really as it shows on your website whuch is not the case for me the only thing i can chose is what to be writen nect to the icon inside the button. what type of icon and what colour which isnt much when you cant even edit the button colour without changing my entite bb theme and what buttons to show.
So how i can fix it as the all 4 buttons are now vertically and looks terrible?Another issue i have is that the whole members directory disapear and i see nowhere where i can actully search for it and set what to search for – installed PB Profile search but its not showing where to use it at all. I added the short code [bps_directory] but it did nothing either
When i go on edit the wiping page and try to edit the block there is an option filter profile fields which is loading and loading and does actually nothing.
So how i can filter what profiles to show after the look is fixed?Regards

Also there suposed to have MatchPress for Paid Memberships Pro add-on
“In addition, you can limit the number of likes sent per day based on the user’s membership plan”I have PMP and yes there is limitation of likes sent per day based as well as Super-Likes but i cant see anywhere from where to limit them based on the user’s membership plan.

Please be aware that the difference between swipe carousel and swipe card is in a detail: when selecting swipe cards, you can swipe with your finger or your mouse by “drag and drop” to top, right or left. With Swipe Carousel, you have to click on the button.
Note that selecting which field to display in the member card is related to the theme. For example, with Gwangi theme, allows you to hide or display some extra fields. Please find the attached screenshot.
Please note that you should see the likes and superlikes limits in the settings of the role in Paid Memberships Pro. Can you confirm me MatchPress for PMPro add-on is installed and activated ?

Thank you. However, it seems I cannot log in. Can you please check the credentials?
Please note that you don’t have to buy another theme. My point was that the customization of the plugin features depend on the theme. It the theme doesn’t include any options to change th general appearance, then, you might need some CSS.
MatchPress includes several options to customize the Swipe feature. I see you joined a screencapture of these options in one of your previous reply. Am I to understand that it’s not working on your side ?
What exactly would you like to achieve ?

Indeed, a theme affects the presentation and visual style of your site, while plugins add all kinds of features and functionalities.

Default WordPress theme (2021) : https://default.matchpress.me/Concerning the PMPro settings, it seems the Paid Memberships Pro add-on is not installed on your site. Did you bought this add-on to make the compatibility with MatchPress ? In that case, can you please install and activate it? Then, you’ll be able to access the limit of likes and super-likes. 🙂

Just to be sure: I didn’t told you to buy PMPro plugin, I asked you if you bought MatchPress for PMPro add-on.
Indeed, by buying MatchPress, you’ll get all features of MatchPress described on main page :
- Match members
- Swipe members
- Swipe directory
- Restricted messaging
- Skip forever
But in case you want to extend the features of MatchPress using PMPro, you’ll need the compatibility add-on. Where exactly you saw that Paid Memberships Pro was compatible ? Because on our site, the page that mention that you can use PMPro is the one dedicated to the add-on : matchpress.me/products/matchpress-for-paid-memberships-pro. We would like to understand so we can make sure it’s clear for all users. 🙂
Concerning the theme: The point is that we cannot prevent this, as it is up to the theme authors to make the compatibility with a third party plugin, MatchPress included. Anyway, we’ll take a look. But I want to make sure that you understand that the style of the features of a plugin depends of the theme, not the plugin itself. Please allow us some time.

- Follow : You can disable this feature in Dashboard > BuddyBoss > Settings > Activity Settings.

Concerning the search form, it only is hided if you select the swipe layout. You can either make specific pages with the swipe carousel (ex: for woman, for men, etc.) or add the MatchPress for BP Profile Search Add-on that allows your users to select their preferences on their profile so the directory will automatically be filtered.
The main feature of MatchPress is to use the likes/super likes/dismiss features. Then, depending of what you want, you can add extra plugin as Member Swipe to use a Swipe carousel inspired of Tinder. 🙂

I suggest you to reach BuddyBoss team support, as the Follow and View As buttons are provided by BuddyBoss. They will be better suited to help you with their framework.
- MatchPress for BP Profile Search add-on : Add a research filter in the user’s profile. This way, the user selects its preferences, and he can browse the members’ directory that is automatically filtered. The search form in directory is in this case not useful, as the directory will be filtered depending on the visitor’s preferences. It’s inspired of Tinder feature.
- MatchPress for Paid Memberships Pro add-on : You’ll be able to restrict access to members’ profiles if visitors haven’t yet paid for premium access. In addition, you can limit the number of likes sent per day based on the user’s membership plan, as well as Super-Likes and private messages.
Concerning the icons’ color, can you please make sure to empty your cache? If it’s still not working, can you please send us the updated credentials so we can take a look ?

I’m getting confused too 😂 Here’s why:
2. “I can do all of this now what the add-on does in addition to this?” Without the MatchPress for Paid Memberships Pro add-on, you shouldn’t be able to restrict the number of likes sent per day based on the user’s membership plan, as well as Super-Likes and private messages. You mentioned yourself that you didn’t have that option in the PMPro Role Settings. So, I don’t get how you could access this feature without the add-on. 🤔

What the addon do for it exactly to make it better?” BP Profile Search allows you to have a search form on the directory. With MatchPress for BP Profile Search add-on, you won’t need that search form because this feature will be placed in the user’s profile. This way, the user will be able to select their preferences directly on their profile, and members will be automatically filtered when they visit the website. It will no longer be a search form, but profile fields. Hope that makes sense.
